Dear fan base,

While HDfury4 is currently shipping to reseller, we are getting numerous positive feedback about the inherent versatility of our latest flagship product but especially its picture quality which amazed many:

I received the 3Dfury last Friday and was completely amazed by the image quality. I thought that my CRT projector Vision 1 + some modifications were extremely sharp connected from my DVDO processor to my Moome Full HD V3 input card but I was wrong. I couldn’t believe my eyes- I’ve been missing so much detail without the 3D Fury! On top of that, the 72Hz feature is outstanding and the motion is truly remarkable. To all CRT owners, this is a must have gadget! – Haireez (from Curtpalme.com)

On a side note, we wanted to let you know that we released a new Gamer2 device based on HDfury2 technology.
The global phenomenon that is HDfury is now available in a brand new shape: The Gamer2 that comes in either Component(YPrBr) or VGA(RGBHV) Edition !

HDfury Gamer2 Edition is a straight HDMI to VGA or component cable that includes an embedded HDfury2 module and offer sound output and external power supply connector so it can be used on any HDMI sources.

Advantage of the Gamer2 Edition of HDfury2 is as follow:

World’s First and Only One PLUG and PLAY solution ! HDMI straigh to VGA or component including sound output! All in One Cable!

Based on HDfury2 technology, Sound output and PSU connector available!

Affordable pricing to compete with the cost of Components cable + VGA box commonly used by gamers till now to connect their PS3 or Xbox360 Elite to an analog display.

Outstanding and Unbeatable quality for the money (absolutely no competition with VGA box, it will make any VGA box looks like a toy from the dollar shop! )

Allow DVD playback with upscaling up to 1080p on PS3/Elite or any others HDMI source

Allow to access advanced HDMI settings from any HDMI source

ICT bulletproof

A power supply can be added to the HDfury Gamer2 Edition.
The HDfury Gamer2 Edition can therefore be used with any HDMI sources (previous Gamer edition was limited to PS3 / Xbox360 Elite).
If you are looking for ultimate quality and compatibility watch the brand new 2010 HDfury3 or 2012 HDfury4 !

Since we just reached completion on preorder shipping, some users might need to check the HDfury4 usermanual in order to set the device for their setup.
You can now download the usermanual directly from the HDfury4 download page: here

First units already reached some users and we are extremelly proud of the first feedback and reviews provided, here is a short excerpt from a few of them:

“Ok Guys, i have probably watched a good 6 hours of HD Channels, this 3Dfury product is FANTASTIC !! It will make me stupidly smile for a week and likely beyond, the picture quality is absolutely perfect!“ – CLaudio

“Actually i was “shocked” when the picture was first displayed with a substantial increase in image quality compared to my HDFury3, i didn’t really expect to see a difference in the picture quality, i was wrong, i cannot believe that old sets like mine are still getting better over the years through the new fury coming out, it have superb color and more likely the sharpest image i ever saw, simply out-standing.” - Komeus T.

“Your HDfury4 device is a godsend! I first though i would have to do many operations in order to get it working for my setup, but this thing just blown my eyes within a minute, mouth open and WOW ! the picture quality is insane !!” - Max D.

We are also getting emails about some possible firmware restrictions taking place, just to clear any doubt as we stated earlier, all HDfury devices are powerful and capable of everything you ever dreamed about. If any problem, feel free to retrieve custom firmware or third party firmware to unlock this or that particular feature. However, make sure to act accordingly to your state’s law as we cannot be held responsible for any wrong or bad use of any 3rd party or custom firmware.

While the first pre-order are actually fullfilled and shipping, our Team added another Groundbreaking feature to the HDfury4 inherent versatility just prior to shipping.

We are proud to announce that all HDfury4 devices now support the new SimulView technology from Sony.

If you are not aware of SimulView, you can get an overview here:

http://us.playstation.com/ps3/accessories/sony-playstation-3d-display-ps3/simul-view.html

Previously, we shortly introduced you with the Stream Control and Frame Rate Control features of HDfury4, here. HDfury4 devices as well as our Emitter and Glasses now also support SimulView technology. Said otherwise, using one PS3, one Game and HDfury4, each player can see his own 2D picture through his glass. This is the basic and common use of SimulView, however, HDfury4′s versatility is pushing this beyond expectations, as an example, a Dual setup using two HDfury4 devices with StreamControl feature and SimulView technology is able to display 2 differents pictures for each players on two differents displays without even the need of Emitter and Glasses

Now you can start to figure out how HDfury4 versatility is capable of enabling features and operations that was unthinkable till now.

Welcome in HDfury4 versatility universe, a world of possibilities and capabilities beyond anyone expectations! The world’s most advanced video processor ever is now shipping!

PS: SimulView EDID will be available as a download for Dr.HDMI in the next hours.

While the first production units of HDfury4 is under testing and quality check (first pre order shipping planned on monday 20th Feb.)
We wanted to introduce you with the Stream Control feature of HDfury4.

As you are probably aware, HDfury4 is capable of outputting Digital or Analog video (or both at the same time!) in either 2D or 3D and up to 720p144 or up to 1080p72.
This high frequency setting (Frame Rate Control) can be combined with the HDfury4 Stream Control.
Said otherwise, when beaming from 2 projectors, you can go up to 720p240/720p288 and or 1080p120/1080p144!

The Stream Control is powerful and could be used in many differents ways. For example, a single HDfury4, fed with 3D content and set to Left or Right frame is able to convert 3D content into 2D in case you would like to watch 3D only content in 2D.
If you wish to use the HDfury4 in a dual 2D/3D projector setup (or wish to convert 3D into just the left or right stream) you will need two HDfury4′s. One set for Left stream and one set for Right stream.
By default they come shipped with the button in the center position for single projector use.

On a side note, we are getting numerous email about firmware version, people asking about what kind of firmware is available from HDfury.com, is it different than the one from 3Dfury.com, where to download them from, etc..
As a general answer to this: Yes, multiple firmwares are going to be available, some more powerful than others, it all depends on the resellers and distributors policies. A wide choice of features can be picked up instantly.

Finally, we are going to push the usermanual for HDfury4 live in the very next days. You will then be able to check many things upfront and get used to the amazing number of differents possibilities given by Stream Control, High Frame Rate, 3D scaling and more.

It has been a long long road of development, dozens prototypes, hundred thousands lines of code, tons of pizza and coffee too
Once again, we want to thank you, our fan base, for your support and patience over the past months and nearly years now, as for the first time in HDfury history, a product took us more than a year of hardwork, actually, HDfury4 took more than 18 months of dev and coding!
The wait is over, we can’t wait to read your feedback!

We met the schedule and just finished to ship all preorders devices for Dr.HDMI!
The Doctor will be knocking at your doors shortly for its first consultation!
Dr.HDMI will now ship everyday! A new forum space will be created to answer your first reports, questions and comments.
Feel free to join us in our quest for resolving HDMI issues and ensure perfect compatibility between HDMI equipment regardless of their specs and their HDMI revisions.

To answer many similar questions that we are getting :
No, Dr.HDMI won’t remove, deal, modify or do anything about HDCP.
It’s a fully HDCP compliant device HDMI in / HDMI out with HDCP always active.

Since the end of 2010 and since we are HDMI and HDCP official adopters, all our products won’t output in Analog if HDCP is active on the incoming digital stream. Despite this fact, HDfury is still removed from online listing, website, ebay and amazon. Some listings are deleted the very same day that they are created. Call it ignorance from the big agencies, at the same time dozen thousands of cheap and copy oriented Digital HDCP stripper are freely available everywhere including in the USA and CA countries as outlined previously (here) and for them, no one is doing anything, no international lawyers chasing them, no threats, nothing. Go figure!

Like a chap once said:
“If the laws could speak for themselves, they would complain of the lawyers in the first place.” – George Saville

Many of you are probably aware that HDfury has been removed from distributors and resellers shelves by international lawyers agency acting for the HDCP consortium.

As a results of removing the only one legit add-on card converter for preHDMI display and actually the only one that do come with dedicated features and options to ensure compatibility with various projectors, retro projector, monitor, HDTV either CRT, LCD or any others. We have seen numerous converter and stripper which will remove HDCP from any HDMI signal and output the deciphered signal digitally without any trace of HDCP anymore. They do not come with any features to ensure any compatibility with any display, and guess what!? the industry is not doing anything about them, worst than that, they let them proliferate freely.

So while they focus on chasing the only legit add-on converter for preHDMI display out there, which is a proven high quality and dedicated add-on design for big 3tubes projectors owners, they pay no attention to digital HDCP stripper available everywhere for less than 50$.

We will publish more on the legal aspect shortly, because their efforts against HDfury really worth our point of view on the subject. For the moment, please check the facts below:

We invite you to watch the following video posted on youtube.

Amazon.com selling the ViewHD *cheap in all way* device (horrible picture quality as reported recently by AVSforum reviewer vs HDfury1, so you can imagine how bad it would perform compared to HDfury2, HDfury3 or HDfury4, see below): http://www.amazon.com/ViewHD-Component-Converter-Support-Surround/dp/B004F9XVBC/ref=sr_1_2?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1328106480&sr=1-2

HDfury1 vs ViewHD (click each image for a full size comparaison)

HDfury1:

ViewHD (here you can clearly see how washed out it looks like compared to HDF1, you are also missing a lot of details, greyscale seems extremely corrupted):

Who wants more?

Now if that is not enough to convince you, let us tell you that ALL manufacturers, the very same that are also part of the HDCP consortium, included escape trick in their sources devices. Some would need firmware upgrade, some would need special service disk, some would just need remote control sequence.

As an example for a Samsung HD850, the HDCP free mode can be reached as follow:
1. Power “ON” – “no disk” showing on display
2. Press “Angle” on the Samsung remote
3. Press “4 3 2 7″
4. Press “Angle” again – OSD will show “HDCP Free” confirming the changes.

Now, you can all make your own conclusion about what could be the “legal” problem with HDfury once you know the facts.
