Getting Started with HDfury4S

No HDMI? No standard HD resolution on your display? No Problem!

Play HDMI movies, games, satellite/cable, and internet videos on any TV/HDTV/Projector or Monitor! HDfury4S allows you to view HDMI content from your PS4, X1, PS3, X360, Blu-ray player, satellite/cable or internet on all standard 50/60Hz or 100/120Hz displays with either Digital or Analog inputs or both at the same time! If your TV, monitor or projector cannot play HDMI content because it lacks of a HDMI input, HDfury4S can help you to achieve upscale/downscale, scanconvert, transcode and conversion to match any HDMI/DVI-D/YUV(component) or RGBHV(VGA) display's native resolution! If your TV, monitor or projector can play regular HDMI games and Blu-ray movies then the HDfury4S can still help you to achieve upscale/downscale to match your display native resolution! Upgrade to Perfect HDMI at your display native resolution for a fraction of the cost of buying a new display! The HDfury4S supports every HDMI signal type in existence today from SD to Full HD and beyond (up to 1080p96). It is firmware upgradable so that new features can be added in the future as needed! In addition to supporting all standard displays in either analog or digital (HDMI, DVI-D, RGBHV, component), the HDfury4S also offer dedicated and convenient firmware to 1080i sets like the fantastic 1080i Mits RPTV or the Pioneer Kuros and PDP line of Plasma. How difficult is it to set up? A few dip switchs on the HDfury4S must be set once depending on whether your TV is a 50/60Hz or 100/120Hz model or if it takes Digital DVI-D/HDMI or either RGBHV or component as input. No other setup is required. For more information download the User Manual from the Download Tab above. HDfury4S is 100% plug-n-play with existing convenience scaling for 1080i max display (others doable on request) Just connect the HDfury4Sbetween the source and the TV/projector. That’s it! Which projectors and TVs are supported? Any standard 50/60Hz or 100/120Hz displays will work with HDfury4S. HDfury4S is the world first solution that work with any Digital (DVI-D/HDMI) or Analog (RGBHV/component) displays, no matter if they are 60hz only and you live in a 50hz area or if they don't support any standard HD resolution like 1920x1080 or 1280x720. Thanx to the embedded scaler and unique aspect ratio modes, you will be able to display HDMI sources at the best of your display's capabilities ALWAYS & GUARANTEED!

Got questions ? We have answers !

My display is not 16:9, how doe the aspect ratio modes work ?

99% of the time any scaler or TV simply stretches the picture to fill the screen or then leaves black bars on left/rigth because it assumes fixed 4/3 aspect ratio on a 16/9 screen. Instead the furyscaler will actually retains 100% the exact correct input aspect ratio and "drops" it on the final output frame size while scaling the maximum side. Therefore it automatically leaves black bars on top/bottom or sides as dependent on the incoming resolution.

I have a PC mode on my TV (or a PC monitor) what resolutions are supported for graphics mode ?

All following PC graphics mode are supported in either 50 or 60Hz: 800x600, 1024x768, 1280x768, 1360x768, 1440x900, 1600x900, 1280x1024, 1400x1050, 1600x1200, 1920x1200. More supported resolutions can be added on request.

What output resolution does the HDfury4S support in HDTV mode ?

All known SD, HD and Full HD formats are supported including: 480p50, 480p60, 576p50, 576p60, 720p50, 720p60, 720p100, 720p120, 1080i25, 1080i30, 1080p24, 1080p25, 1080p30, 1080p48, 1080p50, 1080p60, 1080p72, 1080p75, 1080p96

My HD display is from Europe/UK/Australia where we use a 50Hz refresh rate. Will it work?

Yes, as all HD displays that support 50Hz also support 60Hz. Additionally HDfury4S is capable of toggling 50/60hz for PAL/NTSC in both HDTV and graphics modes at will.

My HD display only accept 60Hz material and in Europe/UK/Australia, we use a 50Hz refresh rate. Will it work?

Yes, through a simple dip switch setting, you can force the output to be always 50Hz if needed.

What version of HDMI does the HDfury4S work with? Do I need HDMI 1.3/1.4a? Does it matter?

It does not matter. HDfury4S works with any version of HDMI from 1.0 and up.

Do I need to set anything special in my HDMI source device to set resolution correctly?

No. The HDfury4S will be detected as 1080p capable by your source and always accept and process the highest quality strem from your source devices. There is no need to set the HDMI source to any specific resolution, the HDfury4S will take care of it and scale up or down if needed.

Is there any latency (delay) introduced to the signal?

Less than one frame of latency per second is added to the signal which is not at all noticeable in games.

What is the USB port for?

To supply power from any USB port available if required (such as a PS3 USB port) and for firmware upgrades when new (additional) functions and enhancements are offered.

What about long HDMI cable runs? Can I expect issues?

HDfury4S acts as an HDMI repeater device. So having a HDfury4S in the path will amplify and recover the signal. You should not need any passive (or active) HDMI amplifiers, especially if you put HDfury4S in the middle of your cable run. If you previously had to use an amplifier, the HDfury4S can most likely take its place. The HDfury4S has been used with 50 foot (and longer) HDMI cables without issues.

How are the new lossless audio formats via HDMI input handled ? E.g. DTS-HD/MA and DD/E-AC3 : Are they stripped down to DTS core or Dolby Digital respectively to fit the requirements of the S/PDIF standard ?

Lossless audio is transmit through HDMI output only. HDfury4S does not compress or otherwise create loss to the incoming audio. Only stereo and 5.1 sound can be output via SPDIF output and analog output.

Firstly I’d like to thank you. After four weeks of being pushed between customer services of two different companies who didn’t have a straight answer (or a clue), I finally gave up and contacted the HDFury team who responded to my email in record time. I have literally been able to set up my 3D setup within half-an-hour on my Qumi. So quick! The team answered all my queries and I am being 100% honest when I say that not only do they really know their product inside-out, they also know exactly what settings are needed to get this amazing product working on any device! As I mentioned above, after FOUR WEEKS of being messed around, the HDFury team got me into the 3d world of movies with minimal effort. If you are having problems getting 3D setup then this is a one piece kit that takes up hardly any space compared to anything else on the market. It’s so small compared to the previous product I’d had issues with and when I got it in the post I was a really surprised it had that power. I am honestly a convert to the HDFury products. They have the results to show and the options available mean they will be going five years after the other mainstream brand products are shelved.

Bought the 3D Fury, Emitter and Glasses and have used them connected to a Humax Freesat HD Satellite receiver and a PS3. Performance has been much, much better than I’d expected and as good as any 3D ready tv I have seen to date. Performance on the Humax has been very stable and image clarity is top notch, although flicker on bright scenes in 3D is evident not overwhelmingly so but is there and some people’s tolerance level may not be comfortable viewing it over a number of hours, it can be reduced by lowering contrast level I found on my set the “Game” pre-set works best. Haven’t experienced any crosstalk or ghosting and I have to say some of the 3D Olympics coverage on the BBC has been a real eye opener to me as I haven’t had too much experience of 3D broadcasts prior to purchasing the Fury. Performance on the PS3 is excellent much less flicker (Hugo 3d dvd watched) and the clarity of image is I would imagine as good as it gets, connecting to PS3 was straightforward too although important to note to make sure you set the PS3 video output to “Automatic” I hadn’t done this initially and it caused problems, displayed unwatchable picture, as soon as I changed the setting no problem the picture displayed perfectly.

I have excellent 3D!! I’m running at 1080p/60 with amazing depth and resolution. By tweaking the glasses duty cycle and delay via the emitter I was able to get a very detailed ghost/cross talk free image. Last night we watched Hugo-a fantastic movie BTW-with the family last night and everyone was blown away! Big thanks to everyone here for such a ground breaking product and excellent support. 3Dfury-highly recommended!!

  7. :

Hello, I just received the HDFury4, picked it out of the box and was very excited to see it work. I was very amazed about the -spoken freely- damnedshitfuckingawesome picturequality. You guys have done great work and a hardly can’t wait for my 3D-glasses to arrive. THANK YOU VERY MUCH for the holy grail of HDMIing 🙂 Please don’t stop engineering that groundbreaking stuff! Best regards and greetings from germany! Ciao

  8. :

I received the 3Dfury last Friday and was completely amazed by the image quality. I thought that my CRT projector Vision 1 + some modifications were extremely sharp connected from my DVDO processor to my Moome Full HD V3 input card but I was wrong. I couldn’t believe my eyes- I’ve been missing so much detail without the 3D Fury! On top of that, the 72Hz feature is outstanding and the motion is truly remarkable. To all CRT owners, this is a must have gadget!

  9. :

The unit works and does so extremely well – there is no comparison to the VHD that it replaced.

  10. :

Ok Guys, i have probably watched a good 6 hours of HD Channels, this 3Dfury product is FANTASTIC !! It will make me stupidly smile for a week and likely beyond, the picture quality is absolutely perfect!

  11. :

Actually i was “shocked” when the picture was first displayed with a substantial increase in image quality compared to my HDFury3, i didn’t really expect to see a difference in the picture quality, i was wrong, i cannot believe that old sets like mine are still getting better over the years through the new fury coming out, it have superb color and more likely the sharpest image i ever saw, simply out-standing

  12. :

Your HDfury4 device is a godsend! I first though i would have to do many operations in order to get it working for my setup, but this thing just blown my eyes within a minute, mouth open and WOW ! the picture quality is insane !!

  13. :

I am running the HDfury4 on a 60hz Pioneer Kuro plasma with the monstervision glasses and emitter with terrific results. I have zero crosstalk and ghosting and the flicker is minimal it only shows up in bright scenes but most of the time I forget about it.
I had to hook the emitter up to my computer and do the calibration with the firmware utility rather then the joystick to get precise calibration. It took me some trial and error but I am 100% satisfied and blown away with the results. I love my 3dfury! Highly recommend to anyone considering.
